Kolel/Prosserman JCC Announce 2010-2011 Educational Expeditions
Join us this year for adventure, learning, growth, and tikkun olam as we take Kolel's unique brand of quality adult education on the road! To keep all our educational expeditions intimate and meaningful, we do not take "big bus" tours and so space on each tour is limited. We highly recommend early registration as our expeditions often sell out. For full itineraries, prices and details call Michelle at Payless Travel, 416-922-0116 ext 1; for any questions on the content of the trips contact Rabbi Goldstein at 416-638-1881 ext 4472 or rabbi@prossermanjcc.com.

This tour will introduce you to Jewish history in the context of "then and now." We see the places Moses saw in Jordan: the mountains of Moab, Mt. Nebo, and Aaron?s grave. We'll move on to explore Petra and Wadi Rum. We will experience Shabbat in the Israeli desert, and then off to Cairo for the Pyramids, Sphinx, bazaars and Museum. Led by Rabbi Elyse Goldstein and excellent, trained and certified local guides. This tour will make the ancient Bible come to life. Open to couples and singles; space is limited.
February 7-14, 2011: Food for Thought IV: Israel Culinary Tour.

This fourth all-new itinerary will take you up north for a workshop with Israel's leading chef Erez Komoravski, to the bustling market of Jerusalem for a "shuk and cook" adventure, to Tel Aviv's hippest new restaurants, to one of Israel's first kibbutzim. It's so much more than food! Open to couples and singles; space is limited.
April 29-May 8, 2011: Tikkun Olam: Guatemala. Co-led by Rabbi Elyse Goldstein and Adrienne Rosen.
This unique "voluntour" will take us to gorgeous lakes, cloudforests, ziplining and ancient Mayan ruins while giving us the unique opportunity to meet indigenous native Jews, and most importantly, help build a school which is critical to the children in a small rural village. This tour will open our hearts as well as our minds! Open to couples and singles; space is limited.
